I want a real C&C and this game definitely doesn't satiate me.If your submission does not appear, do not delete it. I love the idea of playing a couple matches on my phone and I hope that they can balance out the pay to win so its not so blatant. If This had been a side game to keep us entertained until the next C&C came out I think every one would have been hyped. This is the most blatant pay to win game I have ever seen, they don't even try to hide the fact that you can buy a better army than your opponent. ![]() I believe that this game got a bad rap because it wasn't the new C&C we were all hoping for, but it deserves the bad rap because EA couldn't even do this right. If they could limit the pay to win and make the game an enjoyable exchange of strategy between you and your opponent where one of you comes out on top based upon skill, this could be a good game. The game is fun sometimes but broken with the current pay to win methods, which I don't see changing as it is an EA game. You are basically required to jump on and play every few hours and open your free crate hoping to get cards for you army ![]() Without paying for crates you are unable to efficiently level up your units but you NEED leveled up units if you hope to win, and every loss moves you further from crates. Every few hours you are able to get a free crate which may or may not have some cards that you need, other than that the only way to get more crates is to buy them, win a lot of matches without any losses and get them from the ranking system or once per day you can complete bounties which will give you a few crates. This leads into another glaring problem with the game, that is the game play loop. the more levels, the more cards of that unit you will need. Again this would have some weight if it wasn't for the pay to win game play.Įach in game unit is depicted on cards and you need to get those cards out of crates to unlock the unit for use and level the unit up. The core game play is actually alright, I like the idea that you can rush bikes and hope to take out a harvester or go eco in the hopes to build up some tiberium and build bigger units faster. In theory this would limit the possible level gap between you and your opponent, but this would breed another possible problem where you basically need to spend money to get to higher tiers because you won't have the unit level to compete. from Starcraft) with each tier having a cap on the level of units. I should say that the developers have released some answers to this concern basically saying that the game will be split into tiers (Similar to bronze, Silver, Gold, etc. the other 55% to 80% were un-winable because I just didn't have high enough level units, it is hard to "strategy" your way around the fact that it takes two of my rifle squads to kill one of my opponents. Of all the matches I played, I had maybe 15 to 20 where it was a back and forth which required strategy and skill to win. You can literally buy a better army then your opponents and win because of your upgrade level. ![]() In theory this method should work well in the format but rarely works in practice for one main reason, all units can be upgraded before combat and this method of upgrading can be paid for with real money. The game uses a pretty simple method of rock / paper / scissors for combat with each unit having strengths and weaknesses. The game is in real time which surprised me, all your actions are happening at the same time as your opponents The game is pretty straight forward with the one main objective being "Destroy the enemy base" this objective can be accomplished through attacking it with units or by controlling areas on the map long enough for a missile silo to launch a nuke at your opponents base. I have been playing it for three days and completed more than 50 matches as GDI and 50 matches as Nod. With this in mind I had no intention of giving this game any time and pretty much wrote it off in my head, but I decided I wanted to at least see what the game was and make my own opinions on it. ![]() I was just as upset as I think most of us were when I saw that the return to my favorite RTS franchise would be a mobile game. I should preface this by saying I am a huge command and conquer fan. ![]()
